    WHITE ISLAND HELICOPTER TOURS

    HEALTH & SAFETY

     

    Our pilots hold a Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence. Under the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules pilots undergo regular performance and safety checks.

    Before take off all passengers are given a full safety briefing before entering a helicopter.

    All flights are subject to weather and weight restrictions. If the pilot has any concerns, flights may be altered at their discretion.

     

    MAINTENANCE

     

    Our helicopters are subjected to regular maintenance checks and are maintained by Rotorcraft Helicopter Support based at Hamilton airport.

     

    RESTRICTIONS

     

    Flights require a minimum of 2 passengers to be confirmed. If wanting to book for 1 person we will aim to book you with other confirmed passengers. You will need to contact us for availability if booking for 1 person.

     

    In accordance with CAA rules and regulations, we require all passengers to inform us of their accurate weight before any flight. For the purpose of aircraft weight, balance and safety, the maximum weight allowed per seat is 130kgs (286lbs).

     

    CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

     

    On some occasions, the time and date you select may not be available due to existing bookings, helicopter availability or commercial commitments. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements, however if we need to alter your booking we will contact you on the number/email provided via the booking form.  

    Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to $30 cancellation fee.

    Cancellations made within 12 hours will be subject to 50% of fees.

    No refunds issued to no-shows. 

    Our pilots will make a decision in regards to weather conditions on the day of your booked flight. If the weather conditions are not suitable for flying, we will contact you to reschedule your booking or provide a full refund.

     

    PAYMENT

     

    We recommend that bookings are made in advance to avoid disappointment.

    Our prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are quoted on a per-seat basis. In order for any of our flights to be confirmed, we require a minimum of two full paying passengers.

    When booking online, once the payment transaction is processed the name that will appear on your bank statement will be: AERIUS LIMITED.

    To make changes to your flight time please call the team at Aerius Helicopters at least 48 hours prior to your flight and we will reschedule your flight at no cost.

    No refunds will be given for no-shows or changes made to your booking less than 24 hours prior to your departure.

    MOBILITY

     

    Due to uneven surfaces, our White Island tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair as a moderate amount of walking is involved.

     

    CHILDREN

     

    Unfortunately, children under the age of 11 years are not permitted on our White Island Flights or Tours.
